Annual Scholarship General Information APPLICATION DEADLINE: Must be postmarked by April 1, 2013.
Who Can Apply: · Applicant must be female. · Applicant must be a member or family of a member of the Cowgirl Cattle Company (CCC) with dues paid for the year of application. · Applicant must be enrolled full time in a recognized post-secondary school. · Applicant should have an agricultural background. · Applicant must be able to attend the 2013 CCC Rendezvous in Calgary on May 10, 2013.
How to Apply: · Applicant will print, complete and submit the attached Cowgirl Cattle Company Application Form. · Applicant will provide a letter of recommendation from a member in good standing of the CCC who is NOT a relative nor a member of CCC executive. · Applicant will provide a letter of recommendation from a non-member of the CCC. · Applicant will provide proof of full time registration from their post-secondary institution. · Applicant will submit an essay, of no more than two typed pages, stating history, agricultural background, community work etc.
How is the Scholarship Reviewed and Awarded? The scholarship applications will be reviewed by 3 community members. Reviewers will NOT be aware of the identity of the applicants. Scholarships will be awarded based on community involvement, agriculture background and strength of application. More than one scholarship may be awarded per year based on applicants and funds available. The recipient will be notified by April 30, 2013 and will be required to attend the CCC Rendezvous on May 10, 2013 CCC requires proof of tuition payment to the institution before funds are released to the participant. We are happy to hold the funds until a copy of a receipt is available.
